Preston's 3rd Birthday Celebration

We celebrated Preston's birthday a week before he turned 3 because the weekend of the 27th we had 2 weddings to go to.   We had a day of fun planned for Preston but nothing really went quite as planned.  Preston had fun anyways. ;-)

Preston was so excited to see all his presents when he woke up that we decided to let him open up a few in the morning.  They just so happened to be from Holly ;-)

The 2 he opened right away were these wooden and plastic cars that you could take apart and put together.  They were even interchangeable. they were a big hit with both boys lol

I made Preston some Mickey Mouse pancakes with sprinkles.

Preston was pretty excited about them!

where's Preston? By the presents of course! lol

Preston opened up a rocket launcher so we decided to take him to the park to shoot it off

He had a fun time chasing the foam rockets and shooting them off.  ;-)

stomp!!

Claire was in the only shade we could find out on the blacktop lol

The sprinklers turned on and were so cool

after the rocket shooting he played on the playground

He kept trying to slide down the "slide" that you should climb up...ouch lol

after that we planned on taking Preston to the BYU dinosaur museum but we went there and realized that it isn't open on Saturdays  Preston was bummed.  Then we thought to take him to the Bean museum but that was closed for renovations.  haha Dang it!  So we took him to the construction site at BYU to watch the "diggers" while we decided what to do next.  We decided to take him to bridal veil falls.

there is a small pond at the bottom of the falls where there are fish to feed.  Preston liked the "fee fees" what a funny guy.

Preston had a great time with his favorite sister! ;-)  After the falls we took Preston to McDonald's (his favorite food place, typical kid!)

Claire had a fun time in the bumbo  while Preston watched the movie 'Dogs and Cats' twice...lol he needed a break and  well we decided if he wanted to watch the movie twice he could it was his birthday celebration!

We wanted to take Preston to the 7 peaks water park but it was looking like rain and stormy outside so we decided to take him to the rec center pool instead.  He was excited!

There weren't many people there so it was nice

Sadly after about 15mins Preston got a poopy bum so we had to go lol poor Preston...he was so sad. So we took him home for some games, cake and ice cream.

we still have Preston's handmade 'pin the smile on mcqueen' poster so we decided to do that with just the fam.

Preston's turn!  haha he is such a cheater

good job Preston! lol

my turn...i was the closest...without cheating lol

Preston's monster truck cake! so much chocolate frosting!

he actually tried to blow out the candles this birthday!

Preston isn't nearly as messy with his cake and ice cream either.  I can't believe my little man is 3!

Present time!  If you couldn't tell by his face...he was VERY excited to finally be able to  open all of his presents.

he has finally mastered opening presents!

We love you Preston and we couldn't of asked for a better son.  You are so sweet, kind, and love to make us laugh.  We love watching you learn and grow.  You are always so happy and we love to see your smiling face!  We are so proud of you and can't wait to see the man you will grow to be!
